After touring the country hosting seven-on-seven tournaments and a lineman challenge BadgerSports in Partnership with New Level Athletics has announced its First Annual All-American Team. Take a look at who was selected to the Second Team Defense.

BadgerSports in Partnership with New Level Athletics is pleased to announce its first annual All-American Team.

The First Team All-Americans will be announced at a banquet in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday July, 3rd in coordination with the Elite National 7on7 Championship, where the best players from around the country will be competing in a weekend full of competitions and special events.

In preparation of the announcement of the All-Americans Badger Sports and New Level is pleased to announce the Second Team All-Americans (Defense):

Defensive End

Giorgio Newberry
Fort Pierce Central (Fla.)
6-6, 250
Eval: Fast, physical and aggressive defensive end
Recruiting: Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Rutgers, Stanford, North Carolina
Stats: Finished his junior or season with 40 tackles and three sacks

Greg Townsend
Beverly Hills (Cali.)
6-4, 240
Eval: Great straight line burst as well as change of direction
Recruiting: USC, Alabama, UCLA, Florida, Nebraska, Miami
Stats: Had 73 tackles, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three blocked PATs

Defensive Tackle

Mustafa Jalil

Eval: A behemoth of a bull-rushing defensive tackle
Recruiting: Committed to California
Stats: Had 50 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and five forced fumbles

D.J. Pettway

Eval: He has good explosion and knowledge of the game
Recruiting: Committed to Alabama
Stats: Registered 85 tackles and 12.5 sacks

Middle Linebacker

C.J. Johnson

Stats: Racked up 151 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries

Outside Linebacker

Ryan Shazier

Stats: 87 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, two fumbles caused, two fumbles recovered (one for a touchdown) and one blocked kick
