Esparto (Calif.) athlete Mike Evans has been a diligent performer at numerous camps this spring.
The 6-3, 195-pound Evans can play receiver or running back, and his head coach, Rod Totten, thinks offers are right around the corner.
“He had a hamstring injury last year so he doesn’t really have any game film, so we’re getting him out there and schools are interested,” said Totten.
Evans is hearing from Nevada, Boise State, Washington State, UNLV, Hawaii and Sacramento State among others.
“Sacramento State, Washington State and Hawaii have talked with him the most,” said Totten.
Evans is a solid student, carrying a 3.6 GPA.
Last spring, he was on the all-combine team at the Scout.com San Francisco Combine and he was a member of the Scout 2011 Watch list.
