Focus 2012: Coppell DB David Busby
There have been quite a few successful teams line up in Coppell (TX). And in 2010, it should not be any different. This Dallas/Fort Worth area program went 11-2 last season and reached the semifinals round. Several players off that team return and that includes junior defensive back David Busby. Coming in as a sophomore last season, Busby made a name for himself recording 62 tackles and two interceptions. Right now, he claims that no school has extended him a verbal offer, but best believe that there will be a good number of suitors come September 2010. "Right now I have a couple of schools looking at me. I'd say that Oklahoma, Arizona State, Texas Tech and Kansas State are sending me a lot of things," Busby said. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior will look to build the momentum off a good sophomore year. He did mention that there were a few areas where wanted to improve for next season. "This summer, I did a lot of work with me feet. Also, with my hands," Busby said. "I want to be quicker for next season for sure." Attributes that Busby believes he has already are being active during the play. He said that he feels college coaches are attracted to his play because he is always around the ball and is a solid playmaker. Look for Busby and the Coppell football team to have a solid run in 2010.
