Keith Baxter is a talented cornerback prospect from Homestead High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Keith Baxter (5-11/180) talks recruiting below.

Have you been to any camps this summer? Talk about them.
Florida Stat -- it went well, I did good. I talked with Coach Fisher, Coley, and Stoops. They offered me. I also went to a 7 on 7 tournament.

Do you have any camps coming up soon?
I am supposed to go back to FSU this weekend and also Marshall at the end of July.

Have you taken any other unofficial visits this summer? Talk about them.
I went to UM. It was good, Coach Barrow showed me around. I met some players and they showed me around. Coach Barrow was my coach at Homestead so I had a relationship already. Also, FIU. I spoke with the coaches and players. It was a good visit for me.

Top college choices right now.
I like FSU. My cousin Patrick Robinson played there last year, so I have a little tradition there. I like it up there. LSU, I like them too. I like LSU a lot, I know Patrick Peterson and I like SEC football.

Favorite? Why?
Na, I'm trying to stay open but FSU and LSU are up there.

Syracuse, Memphis, FIU, Marshall, Kansas State, Western Kentucky, New Mexico, and FSU.

Things he's looking for in a school:
I am looking for a family atmosphere, academics and a chance to play early.

Current Academic Update:
2.5 Core GPA/15 ACT

Goals for this season:
I am kinda flying under the radar right now because I played behind some people. I am trying to step up my game this year, trying to get to the state championship game this year. I had 40 tackles, 4 interceptions, fumble recovery for touchdown 80 yards, interception for a touchdown. I played as a rover, covering a lot of slot receivers and it got boring cause they started staying away from me. I am trying to make a lot more plays this season.
