Texas safety plans to take other visits
Frank Shannon has been busy working with his teammates this season, which hasn't allowed him to see many places. "This summer I went to the TCU Nike Camp and I haven't been on any visits this summer," Shannon said. "Now I'm here and this will be it." Shannon, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, made a commitment to Oklahoma and remains committed to the Sooners. He talked about that. "I committed to Oklahoma earlier. I like them because I like the coaches. We had a good connection when I went up there. They made me feel at home and made it seem like I'd be a great fit with their defense. My family liked it, too, so that made it easier for me to commit." Despite his commitment to the Sooners, Shannon said he still hopes to take some other visits. "I'm gonna take all my official visits. I'll take one to Oklahoma and the others, I'm not sure yet," he said. "LSU is still recruiting me, Cal, UCLA, and Oklahoma State." LSU is the first school Shannon mentioned and he talked about his interest in them. "LSU,I like the environment down there. I like how the city is and how the school is in the city. it makes me think of home here in Dallas." The standout safety prospect is excited for the upcoming season and talked about it. "This year, I expect our defense to dominate and the offense to come along since they're young. I expect a winning season."
