Corey Williams profile
"I have been to some 7-on-7s, but that's about it this summer," said Williams. "I went to EMCC, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Starkville High School for 7-on-7s.
"Southern Miss and Tennessee State are the main ones keeping in touch with me. I talked with a coach from Marshall too."
Corey lines up inside the box on the high school level, but it looks like the Macon, Mississippi native will find a home in the secondary in college.
"I have heard safety," said Williams of his prospective position. "Southern Miss says I look like a good safety. They are always sending my positive letters and encouraging me about my season."
Corey reports that the ability to win and earn a college degree are central components of his recruiting agenda.
While waiting for his first offer, Williams is fine tuning his game in hopes of a robust senior campaign.
"Right now I expect a lot," said Corey of his expectations for 2010. "It's my last year and I am going to fight for another state championship. We have to fight hard every game. I am going to give it all I have to get one more championship since this is my last one."
