Where We've Seen Him: Game Tape, Highlight Tape, Camp (Illinois - 2010)

Analysis: O'Connor is a big kid with a good frame. What he does very well is using his hands, and athleticism to shed and avoid blockers. He shows solid strength and aggressiveness when getting rid of blockers. He displays good overall closing quickness to the ball, and as a contain end, does a good job of staying home. I don't see him as a speed rusher off the edge, but he can grow into a strong side end who can win with both power moves and some finesse. With his frame and growth potential, seeing some time inside is a possibility down the line as well.

Verdict: This is a good, fundamentally sound football player. He shows good athleticism for his size on tape too, and it looks like the Illini may have stolen one here.
