Bellflower (Calif.) athlete Michael Jasper is waiting for his first offer, and knows a good start to his senior season could help with that.
For now, Jasper is hearing from Fresno State, UConn, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and USC.
“Fresno State is the most serious and they said they mostly give out scholarships the middle of the senior years, so we’ll see what happens with them,” said Jasper.
Jasper plays both receiver and cornerback, but said that defense is where he thinks he’ll end up in college.
“I’ll play whatever, but I like cornerback,” said the 5-11, 180-pound Jasper.
Jasper camped at both USC and UCLA this summer.
He’s not in a rush to make a decision, when the offers do come in.
“I’ll wait for the offers and sort out my options later,” said Jasper.
Academically, he has a 2.8 GPA and took the SAT in June.
