Three Offfers For Mustangs Receiver
North Shore High School has produced a lot of talent, more than several teams combined. One of the top players in the 2011 class is Devante Davis who now has three offers. "I have been offered by Memphis, ULL, and Sam Houston", Davis said to Scout.com. Though those are his only offers he is getting a lot of attention from other schools. "LSU, OSU, UH, a lot of schools, really everywhere I am hearing from. A new coach is calling me every day, the coaches are sending tapes out to new schools. Oregon called, a lot of schools have been calling." With the season ready to start and him hearing from some big names does he have any favorites? "I don't have no favorite schools, I just want to play football somewhere." His off-season was quite busy as he made it to several camps. "I went to four camps, UH, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, LSU and Alabama. At Alabama they had just built a new place for the players." North Shore is stacked as far as talent goes, but are they going to be strong on offense again? "The offense is going to be real nice, we have a new offensive coordinator, the new plays he put in are real good. We don't have selfish players this year." Since North Shore is one of the big name programs in the state, does that put any pressure on him to play up to the North Shore standards? "Really I don't take it as pressure on me, it is not just me, it is a team thing, the pressure is not on me or just certain players, we take it one game at a time as a team." Stay with scout.com for more on these players and others in Texas.
