Cox Tries Scott Field on For Size
Justin Cox profile "I think we have to get more polished up," said Justin of his team's play last weekend. "I know it was only two quarters, but we have to get our conditioning up. It seemed like we get a little tired." Cox put together a nifty highlight reel in very limited action. He believes he is capable of much more with four quarters of snaps. "I think I did okay," said the humble standout. "I didn't get to play much. They wanted to get some of those sophomores in the game. "I ran the ball well. We're working on the passing game this week, so we'll get better with that." Game week preparations began in earnest today. The Wave had little trouble getting focused for this week's opponent. "We play Shannon this week," said Justin. "We lost to them last year, so we're fired up and ready to play them. We want to get back to the championship again this year." Once Cox completes his West Point career, he will make the move down the road to Starkville to play for Mississippi State. He was grateful to get a taste of playing at MSU this past weekend. "They didn't really fill up the stadium, but it was nice to be out there," said Justin. "It wasn't like playing at our stadium. I know it will be a lot more live once I get to State and they have all of those people there." Since closing out his recruitment the weekend of the Big Dawg camp, Cox reports things have calmed down. "Memphis offered me after I committed to Mississippi State," said Cox. "It's been pretty quiet other than that."
