BUFORD, Ga. - South Carolina commitment Martay Mattox played in a scrimmage Thursday night and Scout was there to see him. Find out Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons' thoughts on him here.

Martay Mattox is a 2011 quarterback out of Athens (GA) Clarke Central that has committed to play for South Carolina on the next level.

He led the Gladiators into action Thursday night against Buford in front of Scout and you can get a break down of his performance right HERE on GamecockAnthem.com.

Chad Simmons started out with Scout in 2003 covering top talent in Georgia and other areas in the South. He then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become Southeast Recruiting Manager.
