Scout's Take: USF OL commit
What to Like: The first time I saw Thor Jozwiak was at a combine in Jacksonville in the early part of 2010. His athleticism really jumped out at you. He showed off quick feet, an explosive first step, and his agility times were excellent for an O-Line prospect. On the field, he's able to get to the second level very well and it's not rare to see him 30, 40 yards downfield throwing blocks. He could play center or guard in college but plays tackle now so there's some versatility there in how to use him. He often plays with a defensive mentality, too. He was named the O-Line MVP of the Gainesville Nike Camp that I watched him at. What may concern you: He lacks ideal size. He's only 6-foot-3 and I last saw him in the 270 range. He'll need to bulk up and add strength before he's able to compete. He's not the type of kid who mauls people in high school. How much weight can his frame hold? How much athleticism will suffer by adding the extra weight? Those are some questions that are unanswered at this point. He's not a dominant lineman at this level, at least not yet. Bottom Line: After a few solid performances at various camps and combines, Jozwiak's recruiting stock went way up. He was recruited like a solid three-star OL prospect and the Bulls did a nice job making sure that he stays close to home while he still had offers from several other Big East programs. He's not likely going to come in and help right away but if he's able to bulk up and add some strength, he should have a solid career as a Bull.
