Robinson Eager to Show His Worth

Coach Malcolm Jones appears to have his McComb Tigers ready for the 2010 season. Defensive standout Mark Robinson is excited about his team's prospect this season and he is eager to watch the team evolve into a playoff caliber program. Robinson hopes to parlay a strong season of his own into some college options.

"I see a lot more positive attitudes out here now," said Robinson. "We used to have a lot of knuckleheads out here who wanted to do what they wanted to do.

"There is lot more hunger in folks now."

The talented senior reports that the new found harmony on the field has carried over to the hallways and classrooms as well.

"We are all living up to our saying as brothers, We are one," said Mark.

Robinson is hopeful that he can turn some of his interested parties into more than casual observers with a good 2010 campaign.

"I am hearing from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Alcorn (State)," said Mark. "I went to Ole Miss and LSU this summer.

"I learned more fundamentals at the camps. My coaches used that to show me a lot more that was going on."

When decision time comes, Robinson has a good idea about what he is looking for.

"Academics are important to me," said Mark. "Being a student athlete is important. I want to get an education and just find a place that shows me love."
