Steven Mette's 20-yard field goal with just two seconds left gave Rockford a 27-24 victory over Holt.
"We've been waiting for this since last year," senior offensive tackle Parker Ehinger said, referring to Holt knocking Rockford out of the playoffs last season.
It was not easy for Rockford. Holt built up an early 14-0 margin and kept the lead for much of the game.
In what turned out to be a turnover heavy affair, two 4th quarter interceptions by junior Shain Showers set up the comeback and game winning score.
Zach Schmuck lead the way for Rockford with 159 yards on 17 carries. Holt senior running back Curtis Nick rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Senior quarterback Jake Gallimore completed six of ten passes for 78 yards and rushed for 122 yards.
Brett Egnatuk lead the Rockford defense with 14 tackles. For Holt, Mike Smith had 13 tackles, while Matt Zajac had 11.
