Pottstown, Pa., native Maika Polamalu said his goal was to go into his senior year and play with a chip on his shoulder and on Friday night we got to see just that. The running back/linebacker bulldozed his way to 10 yards per carry on offense and was a one-man wrecking machine in the first half against Mastbaum.

Maika Polamalu currently has offers from Temple, Navy and Villanova and he has also started talking to UCLA, USC, South Carolina and Michigan recently, so his senior season is going to play a big part in where he ends up. Polamalu started the season off with a strong performance on Friday night carrying the ball 16 times for 157 yards and three touchdowns and also made three tackles on the defensive side of the ball. His workload was probably the highest he’s seen in his high school career and while he looked a bit gassed (anyone would be) it was definitely the best we’ve seen him in the past three seasons. We spoke to him after the game about his recruiting picture.
