Florida DB happy with choice
Allen Ramsey talked about a few of the camps he took in this past offseason. "I did a couple. I went to Rutgers, Under Armour and NIKE. Rutgers was fun, me and a couple other South Florida athletes went up there and showed them what football was all about. We seen the campus, it was fun, they had nice facilities, everything was good. I also went to Wake Forest. I love Wake Forest because they love Florida athletes. I went and had fun at that camp too. The coaches liked me and they showed me love. I talk to the coaches, they were nice, and then I made my choice to commit. I went to the NIKE training camp in Miami. It went good, they worked us out for four hours, we did one on ones. It was fun; we got to play against competition you normally don't get to play against and see why they were ranked so high. Same thing at the Under Armour, we did it at the Bubble where the Dolphins practice at." Ramsey, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, talked about the commitment he made. "I committed to Wake Forest because it was the best fit for me. And the education is nice. Even if they do their 3 or 4 years if they red shirt, they will be ahead of the draft with their degrees. So even if they don't go to the NFL they will get a good job and make good money anyways." Ramsey says his commitment is rock solid. "It is very strong, it is solid. I am taking my official to Wake Forest October 2nd when they play against Georgia Tech. That will be the only official I am going on, I am looking at graduating early." Ramsey, who claims a 2.5 GPA in the classroom, talked about his goals for this season. "Winning a state championship put the high school back on the map," he said.
