Scout Houston: Ready For Week 2 Action

Like years past, Texas Prep Insider has made it a point to try and make its way throughout Greater Houston. And though the focus has shifted to player features and recruiting coverage, we still plan to be a presence in the city of Houston. Here is a preliminary look at what match ups we plan to catch for Week 2.

Friday, September 10
Stratford vs. Friendswood
Both teams are coming off Week 1 wins, but this match up should prove to be a good one. Solid quarterbacks on each team, leading the way of offenses that can put points on the board in a hurry. Look for plenty of points in this one.

Players to Watch: Pete Maetzold, Ben Compton, Travis Manning, Matt Kennemer, Terrence Louis, Matt Sherrard

Saturday, September 11
Eisenhower vs. Beaumont Westbrook
While one team is looking for its (Eisenhower) first win, the other (Westbrook) is moving right along. For Eagles, this will be game to see if they can manage to improve their defense (112 points in first two games). In terms of the Westbrook team, it seems as though these guys are doing a lot of things right averaging over 40 points a game and has given up only 13 points this season.
