David Reeves visits SEC game

David Reeves, Scout.com three-star tight end from Greensboro, Ala., earned a scholarship offer from Mississippi State following their camp. The Bulldogs aren't the only school showing interest. Reeves celebrated his first win of the season Friday night and took in an SEC visit.

"Everything is going good," said David Reeves. "We are 1-1 right now. We beat Montevallo this past week. It was good to get the win. I felt like I did good defensively. We ran the ball a lot, so I didn't get a chance to make plays on offense. I had a lot of tackles in the game."

Reeves traveled to Auburn on Saturday for an unofficial visit with the Tigers.

"My coach took us over to Auburn yesterday," he said. "It was pretty nice over there. It was my first time to attend a game there. I talked to the defensive line [Tracy Rocker] and tight ends coach [Jay Boulware]. They had a lot of good things to say. They plan to attend a few of my games and are keeping an eye on me.

"I liked the game a lot. It was real loud. The atmosphere was pretty good. I thought the team did well. Overall I think Auburn is a nice school. It would be a good school to go to."

Mississippi State remains the only school to offer the sleeper prospect at this point.

"I still just have the one offer," Reeves said. "I am receiving interest from Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana Tech, Troy, UAB, Ohio and Middle Tennessee. I still plan to wait a while before I make a decision. I plan on taking a visit to Mississippi State Thursday for the Auburn game. I will attend the Alabama-Penn State game."
