Cincinnati's Brandon Wamsley is among the best cornerbacks we've seen on film this year. Brandon talks about his early favorites and current leader.

Brandon Wamsley, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound, cornerback from Cincinnati (Anderson) is one of Ohio’s top defensive back prospects.

We’ve looked at Wamsley on film and he’s a definite D-1 prospect. Have any schools offered a scholarship yet?

“No offers yet,” said Wamsley. “A lot of mail right now. Pittsburgh and Maryland have called so far during May.

“I’m going down to the Virginia Tech Nike Camp next weekend with our quarterback (Kurt Shoemaker) and I’m also going to camp at Illinois this summer.

Penn State is my leader right now. I also like Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Maryland.”

Wamsley had 56 tackles and six interceptions in 2002. Those numbers were good enough to earn Brandon all-Southwest Ohio honors.
