A signal caller with a defensive mentality, Green returns at quarterback, outside linebacker and as the kicker for Windthorst head coach Bill Green after an outstanding junior season.



Green did everything but sell popcorn at halftime in 2002, completing 60-of-133 passes for 13 touchdowns with eight interceptions in addition to rushing for 506 yards on 90 carries and 12 more scores. As the team’s kicker and punter, he connected of four-of-six field goal attempts with a long of 39-yards. Green was also good on 33-of-36 extra points and punted for a 34.3 yard average.

On defense, he recorded 112 tackles (76 solos and 36 assists) with two fumble recoveries, six caused fumbles, seven sacks, five QB pressures, 17 other tackles for losses, five interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.

An excellent student, Green carries a 3.7 GPA and has scored 28 on the ACT. He plans on majoring in Education. His toughest individual opponent in 2002 was Petrolia tailback Ross Harrison.

Chad’s favorite school is Oklahoma, followed by Texas A&M, TCU and Texas, although he is interested in all Big XII programs.

Green, who could play either quarterback or linebacker in college, plans on camping at Oklahoma and Hardin-Simmons this summer.

His parents attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
