RB/LB Jeremiha Hunter is one of the top prospects from the state of Pennsylvania. He is sitting on a bunch of big time offers and now has a top five favorite schools.

Jeremiha Hunter is a two-star from Manheim (Pa.) Central High School. Hunter, 6-2 and 210 pounds, plays outside linebacker and running back. This past season he recorded 133 tackles, five interceptions (two returned for TDs), five sacks and ten tackles for a loss. Offensively he rushed for over 1,100 yards and 24 touchdowns. That’s getting it done on both sides of the ball. He led his team to the state title game, although he broke his arm in the semi-final game and missed the championship.

“People say I play linebacker like L.T. (Lawrence Taylor),” said Hunter. “I have terrific speed off the corner and I really get after it. I have quickness and agility. As a running back I have some high knee action and power like Eddie George but I can break a few ankles too.

”Most schools are recruiting me as a linebacker. To me, it really doesn’t matter. I just want to play.”

Speaking of schools Hunter claims scholarship offers from 25-30 colleges like Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Purdue, Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, UConn, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.

“I am overwhelmed. I didn’t think I would have this many offers this soon. I thought it would take a little longer. I have a top five but it keeps changing. Right now I like Michigan, Iowa, West Virginia, Purdue and Ohio State. It’s kind of early to tell but right now it looks like I will leave the state. I have nothing against Pitt and Penn State. That’s just how I see things right now and that could change.”
