Lets take a closer look at some of the top rising senior football prospects as we unveil the top 101 football prospects in the state of Florida. These rankings were assembled by Scout.com Florida Recruiting Analyst Mike Bakas. Mike can be reached at mbakas@scout.com. Today, lets take a look at numbers 31-40.

40. John Jones, LB, 6-2, 205, Sarasota (Booker)
He was the team's second leading receiver behind Sam Shields last year and also had 14 sacks while playing defensive end. A tremendous athlete, he projects as a college linebacker.

39. Akeem Auguste, CB, 5-11, 175, Hollywood (Chaminade)
One of the top cover guys in the entire state, Auguste just knows how to make plays at the right time.

38. Tyler McDermott, OL, 6-1, 270, Palm Beach Central
He's the best center prospect in the state this year, by far. He turned in an outstanding performance at the Scout.com All-American Combine in South Florida back in May.

37. Chris Lett, S, 6-1, 210, Pensacola
A big safety prospect, Lett has some impressive physical tools to work with. He's dominated competition in the Pensacola area the last couple years. Alabama's getting a good one.

36. Jermaine McKenzie, WR, 6-1, 170, Bradenton (Academy)
Another Alabama commitment, McKenzie has a lot of raw tools. He had a big year last season and was arguably the top receiver at the Scout.com All-American Combine in South Florida.

35. James Scott, CB, 5-10, 170, Daytona Beach (Seabreeze)
He hits and tackles like a safety and runs and covers like a cornerback. It's easy to see why so many schools are actively recruiting him. His brother, Kenny, played at Louisville.

34. James Pouncey, OL, 6-4, 290, Lakeland
He and twin, LaShawn, are two major reasons why Lakeland is 2-time defending champs in Class 5A. He's a versatile lineman who can block inside, play in space, and set his feet and protect the quarterback.

33. LaShawn Pouncey, OL, 6-4, 290, Lakeland
See James Pouncey. They're very similar in the way they play and they grade out pretty evenly when evaluating them both.

32. Dion Lecorn, WR, 5-11, 195, Ocala (Trinity Catholic)
John Brantley's favorite target, Lecorn had a huge junior season. He also went to states in track this year. He's got a lot of tools you look for in a receiver.

31. Stephen Garcia, QB, 6-3, 215, Tampa (Jefferson)
He plays the quarterback with an aggressive mentality. He has some of that Brett Favre in him. As a passer, he's very talented and has the offers to prove it. He led his team to the state game as a sophomore and had a big junior season as well.
