With over one third of all division one signees coming from the southeast region, the area shows once again that it not only has some of the best talent in the nation but that it is deep once again this year.

Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina all are seeing a huge increase in talent compared to previous seasons and 22 of the top 25 players in the region come from those states including the region's top prospect Noel Devine.
Devine could be the top prospect in the nation as we inch closer and closer to signing day. Though not exactly prototypical size for every offensive style, he knows how to use speed, balance, power, and vision while playing a smooth and still explosive style of football.
The running back position itself holds a multitude of talent running from Caleb King in Georgia to Robert Elliott in Mississippi and even the Florida duo of Armando Allen and Antwain Easterling. However the trio of hybrid defensive tackles in Torrey Davis, D'Angelo McCray, and John Brown with a true two-gap player in Kerry Murphy have many coaches loving the potential to grab one and quickly disturb offenses in college.
Nationally, the group of quarterbacks this year hold the spotlight and just five at the position made the Southeast Hot 100. That said, Clemson commitment Willy Korn, Texas verbal John Brantley, and Josh Nesbitt could hold their own with anyone at the position.
Another regular trend for the region is the idea of announcing a commitment on signing day. Unlike the Southwest region, which has nearly half of the players already committed, there are just 23 commitments in the Southeast region. The school leading the pack at this point is the surprising South Carolina Gamecocks with four commitments including pledges from Gary Gray, Quintin Richardson, Brian Maddox, and Addison Williams.
Four teams are tied for second with three commitments on the list including Clemson (Korn, Jarvis Jenkins, Landon Walker), Florida (McCray, Chris Rainey, Sidell Corley), Georgia (Trinton Sturdivant, Rennie Curran, Tanner Strickland), and Mississippi (Elliott, Chris Strong, Ted Laurent).
