Even after committing to Cal in the summer, Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola defensive back Chris Conte had kept UCLA as an option.

Conte stayed with his commitment to Cal until January, when almost a month after his official trip to Westwood, he changed his commitment to UCLA.

Fast-forward to Signing Day, and Conte stuck with his original choice. Sources close to the recruitment have confirmed that Conte signed a LOI with California today.

Conte, a three-star prospect ranked 65th nationally at safety becomes the 25th player in the Golden Bears class.
