While Jarred Holley is certainly a name that everyone knows coming out of Easton Area High School this year, Keenan Walls could be another player to watch as the recruiting year progresses. Walls was a productive player on the defensive side of the ball last season and was a big reason why Easton’s defense was so dominant.

Keenan Walls, a 6-foot-4, 206-pound defensive end from Easton, Pa., will most likely need to make the switch to linebacker if he is to play at the Division I level in college and that is where many schools have begun to show interest. Many schools have started to inquire about the defensive end and Walls recently filled us in on some of the programs that have contacted him.

Minnesota invited me out to their camp recently,” Walls said. “I have gotten mail from Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, Penn State, Texas Tech, Georgia, Kent State and Hofstra. We sent film out to some schools I like right after the season ended and some schools have asked me to visit, so I will be making stops at Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Georgia this summer when I go down to Atlanta to see some family.”

“I spoke to a coach from Georgia Tech and he told me that I really needed to focus on adding weight over the next year,” Walls explained. “He told me that they like me at linebacker and Georgia Tech is a good program with great academics, so I am very interested in them and will be visiting. They have a good architecture program which is what I want to do after college and I would be able to not only study regular architecture, but land architecture as well, so I could design a house and the landscape around it.”

“I also had a coach from Kent State come in to visit me this year,” Walls added. “He just told me to keep my grades up and work hard in school. He said that is really the biggest thing for them as the football kind of works itself out.”

Walls has also received mail recently from Florida, Pittsburgh and Miami and will be camping at Georgia on July 6th. He has a 3.0 core GPA and recently scored a 1060 on his SAT, however he will be retaking the test to try and improve his score.
