One good thing about getting out to watch as many game sin person as possible is the opportunity to see some talent that may have not really emerged on to the recruiting radar, and while scouting the number one player in the country a junior defensive end caught my eye.
While on a road trip to interview and take photographs of the Wichita East star Arthur Brown, who is ranked as the number one player in the country by Scout.com, a player for the opposite team caught my eye.
Ian Knight, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end from Heights High in Wichita, Ks., has the raw talent to be a division one type of player and he backed up the notion by informing me that he was indeed receiving some early attention.
“I have been hearing from Kansas State and Wyoming,” Knight informed. “Kansas State is sending me some letters and Wyoming sent me a questionnaire to fill out.”
East running back Bryce Brown shredded the Heights defense for 275 yards on the night that I saw Knight play, but he put consistent pressure on the quarterback up the middle and was able to make a couple of big plays.
