San Antonio, TX- The second session of practice for the East wasn’t as spirited as the morning session but there were still plenty of players that stood out.
At the quarterback position Terrelle Pryor gained a lot more confidence during the second session. He had great touch on his deep ball and seldom did he miss a wide receiver. They also worked on some trick plays to take advantage of his athleticism.
The running backs still seem to be overshadowed by the deep and talented receiving corps.
On the wide receiver front Jonathan Baldwin excelled in the first session but suffered an injury early in the second session and missed the remainder of practice. Maryland native Kenny Tate showed up to the second practice like a man with something to prove. He made a number of spectacular catches and it was difficult for the defensive backs to cover him. As the practice continued the quarterbacks seemed to be in sync with Tate.
Offensive Line: After Mike Golic Jr struggled in the morning session Barrett Jones was shifted to center where he performed quite well. Omoregie Uzzi had a solid afternoon session as well, he looked a lot more comfortable out there than he did in the morning. Mike Adams continued to dominate the competition as he did in the morning session.
Defensive Line: Illinois commit Reggie Ellis, had a solid day of practice. He relied heavily on solid technique and quick hands to defeat his opponents. William Green practiced well, he looks thin like a wide receiver bt really gets after the quarterback.
The linebackers are probably the most talented group here, however they have yet to be able to showcase their ability.
In the secondary, Patrick Johnson and Boubacar Cissoko
continued to dominate.
