Gerell Robinson has proven that he is a super talent this week during practices. He is a tremendous receiver, but there is no doubt he could be a star on either side of the ball in college. His selection may have been the most guarded as fans have speculated whether he would select Notre Dame or Arizona State.

Gerell Robinson, a 6-fooot-3, 210-pound Scout.com four-star athlete from Chandler High in Ariz., kept up the suspense all week. Would it be Notre Dame or would it be Arizona State?

Just prior to the start of the third quarter Robinson ended all of the suspense when he made the announcement to sign with Arizona State.

"It was a tough choice but ended up making the right one," Robinson explained. "It's a hometown school and Coach Erickson and Coach Yarber were the main two reason why. The way that they have worked with their receivers in the past and I have chance to play right away so hopefully I can get that done."

"I just want to help the team anyway that I can. If I can contribute to the team that would be good and hopefully we can be Pac-10 Cahmpions again and keep it rolling." Robinson first busted on the scene on the national level when he was named as one of the top players following the U.S. Army Combine a year ago. Scout.com recognized him for having an All-Combine for his performance as a wide receiver.

While it is most likely he will be a receiver on the next level he ahs proven his overall talent level by solidifying himself as one of the best defensive backs on the field during this week’s practice sessions.

"I'm big and have great speed. I can just make plays. A lot of big guys are slow and can't keep up with me. I can break tackles and go all the way,” Robinson informed Scout.com on his skills.
