Corona (Calif.) Santiago cornerback Sean Martin, who played a big role in helping the Sharks advance to the CIF-SS Inland Division finals in 2007, picked up his first offer last week.

"Sean got an offer from Minnesota" said coach Mark Dye.

The Gophers offered his teammate, tight end Marlion Barnett, last week as well.

During his 2007 junior season, Martin had 116 tackles and one interception and had an eye-popping 27 tackles against Riverside (Calif.) La Sierra in week three. Martin had a three game stretch with 55 tackles.

Next weekend, he'll be at the New Level/Scout Pass Camp in Las Vegas.
