Ohio State Lands Top Corner

Big Ten teams should have an interesting time trying to throw on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the very near future. The defending Big Ten champions already landed C.J. Barnett one of the top corners in the nation. For an encore they have also landed another top ten player at the position.

Darrell Givens, a four-star cornerback from Lackey High School in Indian Head, Maryland has committede to Ohio State. Givens told the Buckeye staff of his decision at the spring game this afternoon.

Ohio State added to the 2009 recruiting class with the addition of four-star cornerback Darrell Givens, of Lackey High School in Indian Head, Maryland.

"Yes, I did commit to Ohio State today," Givens admitted. "It just felt like the right place for me and I just fell in love with Ohio State."

Givens,who racked up 82 tackles, caused four fumbles and had three interceptions as a junior, told the Buckeye staff of his decision while attending the Ohio State spring game today.

"I told all the coaches today that I wanted to be a Buckeye," Givens said. "I spoke to Jim Tressel and also to coach [Taver] Johnson, coach [Luke] Fickell and coach [Darrell] Hazell. I'm very happy to be a Buckeye."

Givens held over 40 scholarship offers from all across the nation.
