Oceanside (Calif.) quarterback Jordan Wynn (6-2.5, 187) led the Pirates to the CIF-San Diego Section title and then a week later, to a CIF D-II State Championship Bowl Game win, to give San Diego County its first state title in football, received some good news on Monday from San Diego's FBS program.

San Diego State offered today and he’s really excited about that,” said his father. “Coach (Del) Miller was by the school today. We talked to him and Coach (Bob) Elliott later in the day and they said they’d be putting the offer in the mail.” And more schools have been showing interest in Wynn, including Oregon State, UCLA, UNLV, Arizona State and Boise State. “Boise State came by last week and I think they’re going to offer,” said Wynn. “Arizona State is going to show up soon too.” Meanwhile, another Mountain West school holds the leader spot for Wynn. “He’s really high on Utah. He likes them a lot,” said Wynn. During the Pirates title-winning season, which culminated in the CIF Division II State Championship and the CIF-San Diego Section title, Wynn was 166-for-283 for 2,589 yards and 21 touchdowns with eight picks. He earned All-State, All-San Diego County, All-CIF San Diego Section and All-Avocado League honors.
