Schenectady, N.Y., product Marcus Brandon is a fine physical specimen and with some added weight, should make a nice tight end for some college in 2009. Right now he is holding one written scholarship offer from Buffalo and will be spending much of his time camping around the Northeast this summer.

Schenectady High School tight end Marcus Brandon has already pocketed an offer from Buffalo and is also hearing from a number of other programs who are interested in his skill set and size. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end will need to add a little bit of weight over the next year, but his frame and speed will certainly garner much interest.

“I have one offer which is from Buffalo and have also been hearing from Syracuse, Temple, Connecticut and Boston College,” Brandon stated. “Right now I am definitely camping at Boston College and Syracuse this summer and want to go to Buffalo and Temple too if I can.”

“I’ve already been to Syracuse for two junior days and attended a basketball game,” Brandon explained. “It’s nice there. Syracuse is a good school, the football facilities are top-notch and it’s close to home. I talked to Head Coach Greg Robinson and the rest of the staff and will camp there this summer.”

“I also went to watch Temple play Northern Illinois this season and had a nice time. Right now they’re rebuilding, but they had a good year and are going in the right direction.”

Brandon caught 31 passes for 344 yards and six touchdowns as a junior.
