Marlon Walls has had a long road with school and getting himself in shape to qualify acadmically, but it looks like that windy road is now straight and it will be ending just around the corner, he hopes.

"I think Marlon Walls is going to get it done," added Olive Branch head coach, Scott Samsel. "Marlon is going to make it (academically). He took a full load. We put him on the Cellular South Plan. Rod Woodson and KeShun Cowan are already on it."

What left, academically?

"Marlin is going to make it. He passed the state test and has all of his core work completed. He just needs his ACT. I think he is going to make it. He put in the work. I will tell you that."

Walls was one of Tennessee's key signees and was dominate on the Mississippi level after transferring in from Wooddale (TN).

Marlon finished the season with 128 tackles, 32 hurries, 10 sacks, and 7 forced fumbles at Class 5A Olive Branch. He was named the 5A Defensive Player of the Year for his on the field accomplishments.
