Adam Citko is being looked at by some of the top schools in the nation, but up until now he held no offers to show for his efforts. Recently two schools jumped into the mix for the Warminster, Pa., product and by the sound of things more could be coming if he performs well at camps this summer.
Archbishop Wood offensive tackle Adam Citko has been a hard worker in the off seasons, getting out to as many camps as he can to show he has the skill to play football at the next level. That hard work started to pay off with offers recently for the 6-foot-5, 301-pound lineman as UCF and Temple extended him offers.
“Temple and Central Florida both offered me,” Citko said. “I like Temple because they are close to home and a good school, but I just need to get down on campus and check them out. UCF and Oregon said they would be calling the school to let me know if they were going to wait or offer this week and while I haven’t heard from Oregon yet, UCF offered.”
Citko is hearing from plenty of other schools and already has a number of camp stops set up for the summer.
“I’m hearing the most right now from Oregon, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Miami, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Rutgers,” Citko explained. “I am camping at Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Rutgers, West Virginia and Connecticut so far. I really like Notre Dame a lot and they said if I come up there and do really well I may have a shot at an offer, so I’m hoping that happens as I grew up a big fan.”
Citko earned first-team All-League, All-City and All-Area honors as a junior.
