The 3 star defensive end from Noxubee county is down to Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Skinner had a chance to take in camp at Ole Miss last month.

"I went to Ole Miss' camp and like it over there alot," added Deontae Skinner. "It helped my game out alot."

Skinner never had a chance to visit the Rebels' facility until the camp.

"I met the team and went around the campus with the coaches. They showed me and Pat Patterson around. Their campus is really nice and so are their coaches. Their coaches are just fun to be around and they make you feel at home, especially Coach Nix who is recruiting me."

Deontae has another trip planned this weekend for his other finalist.

"I am just working out and preparing for the season. I'm not going to anymore camps but I am going to MSU with Pat Patterson on Saturday. They invited us to come meet the team, the coaches and their families. They are having a big cookout. They wanted us to come over there and meet everyone."

The 6'1 235lb defender still has the dogs out in front.

"I guess it's fair for you to say that I'm still leaning towards Mississippi State but Ole Miss is still in it to."

What stands out about MSU?

"I like the way they do things. I like a lot of things about Mississippi State. I just like their school in general and it's so close to home."

What are Ole Miss' positives?

"I like their coaches. They make me feel at home."

What would be the deciding factor between the two schools?

"It would just come down to where I felt the most comfortable and where I can play the earliest."

Could a decision be made soon?

"I do not have a time frame. It will just come whenever I feel like it's time."

Skinner had a 105 tackles and 5 sacks as a junior.
