As the backup to CIF-SS player of the year Austin Shanks and UnderArmour All-American E.J. Woods, Encino (Calif.) Crespi's Jeremiah McKibbins (5-8, 175), had to bide his time on offense.
So McKibbins made the most of his time on defense, where he had 62 tackles, five sacks, a blocked punt and a fumble recovery.
He also ran for 212 yards on three carries for the Celts, who made it to the CIF-SS Pac-5 finals.
This year, McKibbins is poised to be the Celts' primary ball-carrier.
Here are clips of McKibbins in action from his 2007 junior season.
