Philadelphia, Pa., native Mike Pereira stayed local for camps this summer when he attended Delaware and Temple, however two other schools have been sending him mail as well, giving him some other options to play for as a senior.

Mike Pereira, a 6-foot, 230-pound middle linebacker from St. Joseph’s Prep School camped at Delaware and Temple this summer and is also hearing from Syracuse and Pittsburgh. He talked to us about how his recruiting is looking right now and how camp at Temple went.

“Temple camp went really well,” Pereira said. “The facilities were really nice, it’s right there in the heart of Philly and they have good coaching. We had two practices while I was there and I liked the linebackers coach a lot. I get letters from them on a steady basis and I definitely plan on making it to a game again this year.”

“I also liked Delaware a lot and talk to the coaches pretty often,” Pereira explained. “I visited Pittsburgh and Syracuse as well and have been getting mail from them. I was at Pitt for junior day and really liked everything I saw there.”

Pereira had planned on making more camp stops, but had a nagging lower-back injury for half of the summer which really limited him, however he is back to 100-percent now.
