North Hollywood (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake quarterback Sean Berman (6-3.5, 215), is eager to get his senior season started, as the southpaw works towards his first offer.

“Coaches are just asking to see those first few games of the season, and as soon as that happens, I think things will pick up,” said Berman. “Schools like North Carolina and some of the Ivies are possibilities.”

So are a pair of Pac-10 schools.

Arizona is definitely a pretty good possibility. I really don’t know about Stanford, they said they want to see some film. Since Taysom Hill won’t be there for a couple of years, it’s possible. Other than that, those are really the only schools.”

Berman said his plan is to send a big blitz of highlight DVDs following the third game.

“I can’t get frustrated with the process,” said Berman. I’m sure there are things that I could have done to help. But I feel like I can compete at any D-I school and be a good player when I get there. I’m just trying to play smart football and the numbers will come along with that. To me, the numbers that matter are counted in wins and losses.”

Berman did his part during the summer to get out and about and seen by colleges.

“I went to camps at Arizona, Stanford, Washington, Duke, North Carolina and Penn,” said Berman. “Penn is definitely school that I have interest in. It’s a beautiful campus and I liked the coaches there.”

In addition, during the offseason, Berman attended a handful of quarterback camps with Steve Clarkson, his personal quarterback coach.

Berman said he’s looking at a school he can compete at, and receive a quality education.

“When I look at a school, I’m looking to see if I can play there. The feeling I get when I am there. And the academics there are important to me,” said Berman.

Berman is coming off a season in which he was 57% passing with over 1,500 yards and 16 touchdown passes to just six picks.

The Wolverines get their season started on September 5th.

“We open up with Franklin and it should be fun and should add a little more twist to the game,” said Berman.

Academically, Berman is in fine shape with a 3.4 GPA and scored an 1890 on the SAT.
