Penn Hills fell to Gateway on Friday, but the Indians did rally and show some of the talent they have on their roster. Their senior leader on defense, Dan Mason had a nice game. Here is some video of the four star 'backer in action. From Bob Lichtenfels: "Dan Mason was one of the marquee players that we were waiting to see and we did. He was the typical Mason that you always see, not flashy, but consistent. Mason fills the gaps in the middle and stuffs the run. He seemed to be a little out of shape as he had his hands on his hips a lot and was kneeling down a good bit. He doesn’t make a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage, but he does shut the run down in the middle. We did not get a count on how many tackles Mason had, but we estimate it was double digits. Mason played fullback and tight end on offense and he rarely got a break. We have seen Mason not have his best games against Gateway and while he wasn’t spectacular, he still did his job."
