Glendale (Az.) Cactus offensive tackle Chris Putton ended his recruitment today when he committed to the University of Arizona. "I had been thinking about it for a couple of weeks and I talked to my mom about it and just felt that the time was right," he says. Stoops and his coaching staff also impressed Putton (6-3 280), "The coaches are pretty much like family to me." Putton visited unofficially versus Washington and plans to take his official visit when the Wildcats play ASU. He says he is done with recruiting. He holds an offer from UNLV but will not take any more visits. Putton is thinking of majoring in mechincal engineering. He carries a 2.8 core GPA and scored a 1430 on the three-part SAT.
