In the drama that is recruiting, it is suspense that sells. Therefore, when a prospect commits (especially when he does it early), a certain amount of luster is lost. The truth is, most fans care deeply about how or what their commits are doing. This is precisely why Scout.com places an emphasis on those whose future is set. Scout.com catches up with Baylor commit, Cyril Richardson.

Cyril Richardson

High School: North Crowley (TX) High School

Position: OT

Commitment: Baylor

*************************Q&A********************

How did the season go; as a whole and personally?

Season....

"It's going alright. We just made the playoffs and we finish up the district against Abilene. My coach said it's for a share of the district so it's a big one. We won three straight and got good momentum."

Personally....

"I feel that I'm doing good. To be honest, the beginning of the season was shaky but as the season went on, I felt like I have been playing to my potential. I've been improving and getting better all season. I had to find my flow, now I'm dominating."

Have you been to any college games this season; Baylor or others?

"I haven't had the chance but I'm going down to Waco to see the last home game against Texas A&M. It's going to be my official visit."

Since committing, have you picked up any new offers?

"No new offers. Just Baylor. The last letter I got was from TCU; like a week ago."

What are your plans for after the season?

"I'm [gonna] do powerlifting and try to do some track. That's mainly it. I like doing power lifting because I did it last year and I got stronger and more explosive. I seen a lot of improvements in my game because I did power lifting and I [wanna] do track to stay in shape."

What is the one thing that you are most looking forward to about playing college football?

"Just getting into college smoothly. I've been working hard to get my grade up. I'm retaking my SAT and I'm catching up on a lot of work that I needed to make up. I have to get into school. I don't want to look passed that. I just want a smooth transition and have no problems getting in."
