The University of Mississippi has recruited several players off of
Gulliver Prep's squad, and it looks like they are getting close to receiving another
commitment from their team.
"I have not committed yet, but I am getting
close," added Frank Crawford. "I am just waiting on my (official) visit
(that takes place from November 26-28). Me and Artice Kellam are going over there
together. He already committed (to Ole Miss), so he has been on me pretty good."
Why are the Rebels out in front for Scout.com's #52 rated safety?
"I
see they have a good football team. They have a lot of potential. I also think
I can help them out at my position. They are losing some safeties, so I can help
them out. Ole Miss was also the first school to offer me, and that is what got
me real interested them to start with."
Crawford carries an impressive
offer list from the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, FSU, South Carolina, Minnesota,
South Florida, and Purdue, but only four of them are in weekly contact.
"I
get calls from all of them, but really, Ole Miss, South Florida, Purdue, and FIU
call the most. FIU has been calling a lot because I am from Miami. I went to one
of their games, and I know a couple of people on their team. That made it fun
to watch, but Ole Miss is still out in front."
Frank will start his
official visit process at the end of the month, and he knows what he is looking
for.
"I just want to see what the atmosphere is like. I also want
to meet the players to see if I am going to fit in with them. I already know most
of them have good coaches, so I just want to take my visit and see what it is
like."
