4-Star Juco OT, James Carpenter, flew back home from his official visit at Ole Miss this afternoon and had a sit down with his offensive line coach. They came up with a decision. To learn more about it, read below.

"I text Alabama a few minutes ago and let them know that I committed," added James Carpenter.

When did that decision take place?

"When I got back home from my Ole Miss visit, I talked it over with my offensive line coach, Coach Powers, and he helped me make it."

What put Alabama over the top?

"That is the place for me. I can start over there next year and take Andre Smith's spot, and I want to win. They have Coach Saban, and they have Coach Petry, and I feel like he can make me the best offensive lineman I can possibly be."

Will the 6' 5", 305 pounder take anymore visits?

"That is it. I have taken all five visits. I went to Iowa State, Texas Tech, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss. In that order. When I went to Alabama, I felt it was the place for me, but I wanted to take all of my visits to make sure. After taking all of my visits, I just did not get that feeling that I got while I was at Alabama."
