After finishing his senior season, Tyler Campbell is ready to suit up for the Ole Miss Rebels. Go inside to learn more about Campbell's future plans.
"We made it to the quarterfinals," stated Tyler Campbell. "We finished the season 8-4."
The Arkansas Catholic standout had a solid season punting the ball.
"I averaged around 40 yards a punt. That's not as good as past seasons but that was because I was trying to pin our opponents deep in their territory. In previous years, I haven't had to do that to often. Kicking pooch punts will hurt your average (laugh). My longest kick was 54 yards."
Have any other schools offered the talented punter?
"My only offer is Ole Miss. I thought Arkansas was close but after I committed to Ole Miss they really slowed down their recruiting with me."
Why did Campbell pick Ole Miss?
"Coach Shibest calls every week and I have a good relationship with him. I love the coaches at Ole Miss. They have great facilities. They are playing really well. I watched them beat LSU and Florida this year. I also have a chance to compete for the starting punting job next year. Their punter is graduating after the season."
What's next for Campbell?
"I plan on taking my official visit to Ole Miss 1/16. I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't decided on a major but that is one thing I want to look at when I visit there in January."
Campbell has a 3.5 GPA and claims a 27 on the ACT.
