Josh Hollingsworth led the Hamilton High School Aggies to their best season ever going undefeated in the regular season. Josh has drawn interest from several schools from around the south. On Friday he picked up a new scholarship offer.

"Furman came to the school (Thursday)," said the talented quarterback. "They just kind of came out of no where. They came to pick up some film and they said they were looking for a quarterback. He said they had a list of guys they were looking at and then he said I popped up on their radar."

On Friday the Paladins offered Josh a scholarship.

Hollingsworth came available after Mississippi State offered Josh the chance to gray shirt and enroll in Starkville in the spring of 2010 rather than the fall of 2009.

"Coach Mullen called my dad and he said there apparently was a misunderstanding about my offer being pulled," said Josh. "He told my dad that if I would gray shirt, that he would guarantee my scholarship if I came in January. I am not sure that's what I want to do though. Coach Mullen is supposed to call me, but I haven't heard from him yet."

Josh may have another option to consider once the staff at Samford has the chance to review his film.

"Samford came by and got some film," said Hollingsworth. "They told me that they have a roster spot available, but they are not sure what is going to happen with that spot yet. They have to figure out what they need."
