Timber Creek High School went 5-5 this season, however they are loaded for the Class of 2010 and will most likely compete for a state title next season, especially with players like Nahjee Gibson on offense running behind two other Division I prospects in Bill Bilo and Wayne Carter.

Erial, N.J., running back Nahjee Gibson carried the ball 151 times for 1060 yards and 10 touchdowns this season and also had 12 catches for 125 yards for Timber Creek High School. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound athlete plays both running back and defensive back for his team, but is being recruited on offense right now.

“I’ve been hearing from a lot of teams including West Virginia, Connecticut, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Iowa, Ohio State, Rutgers and Michigan State,” Gibson explained. “Right now I think Notre Dame, West Virginia, Rutgers, Tennessee and Michigan State are the most serious though.”

“I watched Notre Dame in their bowl game and they absolutely destroyed Hawaii in that one,” Gibson stated. “Their offense is very open and balanced and there is a lot going on. I like how they do things up there spreading the ball around to everyone.”

“West Virginia is another that sticks out because they’re just a very good football program and have had a lot of success recently,” Gibson said. “I like the spread offense and am a big fan of the option. The duo of Patrick White and Noel Devine is just amazing to watch.”

Gibson is also a big fan of Javon Ringer from Michigan State.
