Timber Creek High School is home to two very good offensive linemen in Bill Bilo and Wayne Carter and this week we had the chance to catch up with Bilo and find out which programs have already started to show him early recruiting interest.
Bill Bilo, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound offensive guard from Timber Creek High School in Erial, N.J., camped at Rutgers, Temple and Villanova this summer and impressed some coaches, winning the Offensive Line MVP Award at Villanova. Right now he’s hearing from plenty of programs and looking for his first offer.
“I get mail regularly from Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia, Boston College, Alabama, Pittsburgh and Colorado,” Bilo said. “Boston College made a visit to my school and the recruiting coordinator was a really cool guy. I have heard a lot about the school and people tell me their academics are awesome. I’ve also watched them a lot and they have a really good football program.”
“When I went to camp at Rutgers this past summer the coaching staff was great with me and I was really impressed with Head Coach Greg Schiano,” Bilo stated. “I went back for their game against Fresno State and it was a great experience as the atmosphere there was just great. I went and toured the Hale Center and was really impressed with all of the facilities, especially the weight room.”
“I also like Temple, Pitt and Michigan a lot,” Bilo explained. “Temple has a great business school and I really liked their staff when I met them at camp this summer. There is just something I like about Pittsburgh in general and I grew up a Michigan fan, so all of those teams really excite me.”
Bilo plays offensive guard and defensive tackle for Timber Creek. He benches 375 pounds and squats 545 pounds.
