Roselle, N.J., native Kendall James is holding five offers, so he’s certainly not complaining, however the wear and tear of the recruiting process has hit him as it hits just about every player in the country. With less than a month to go before signing day he is trying to choose which school will be his new home.
Kendall James, a 5-foot-10.5, 170-pound cornerback from Abraham Clark High School is sitting on written offers from a handful of schools right now and says while recruiting has been tough for him, he has a grasp on what he’s doing.
“Recruiting has definitely become tough going into the home stretch here, but I’m managing it the best I can,” James explained. “I have offers from Cornell, Bryant, Stony Brook, Maine and Northern Iowa. One of my recruiting coaches Terry Montgomery has left and gone to Wyoming, so I’m waiting to hear from him.”
“I’m going on two official visits in the next couple of weeks to Maine and Stony Brook. I also made the Super 60 team in New Jersey by Chris Melvin and was voted by the New Jersey Coaches Association to the Super 100 New Jersey All-State team.”
As a junior, James collected 50 tackles and five interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also had a punt return touchdown. He was named first-team All-Conference and third-team All-County.
