Baltimore, Md., product Brandon Greening had plenty of offers at the Division I-AA level, however this weekend he decided that he’s going to stay close to home for his college career when he selected Towson University. Greening caught up with Scout.com by email to announce his decision.

Brandon Greening, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound safety from Calvert Hall High School in Baltimore, Md., gave his verbal commitment to Towson this weekend after his official visit to the school according to an email he sent Scout.com on Tuesday.

“After taking my official visit this weekend to Towson University I have decided to commit to the Tigers and Coach Ambrose,” Greening wrote. “It was a very good visit and I feel that no other visits I could make will be necessary. I chose Towson over offers from Liberty, Maine, Albany, Sacred Heart and Marist. I will start off as a safety and kick returner, but Coach Ambrose would also like to see me on the offensive side of the ball.”

As a senior, Greening had 1228 yards and 14 touchdowns on offense. He was only given the opportunity to return five kickoffs in the season and returned four of them for touchdowns.
