“North Carolina, Towson, Massachusetts, Bryant, Hampton, JMU and Rutgers have all been recruiting me hard,” Thames explained. “I camped at Hampton, Rutgers and North Carolina already and was also at Temple. I’ll be at JMU, Richmond and Towson later this month.”
“I just picked up my first offer from Delaware State on Sunday,” Steven Thames said. “All I know about the program is that they’re a I-AA school. I talked to the defensive backs coach about coming up for a visit in the end of July. The coach was a very cool guy and just told me that they liked me a lot and that I could bring a different skill set than the other cornerbacks they have there.”

“I liked North Carolina a lot. The coaches said that they really liked me and invited me for a game in the fall which I’ll do. They’ve been keeping in contact with me and I like the coaching staff a lot. They just called my trainer and asked for this year’s film at Riverdale Baptist because I played at St. John’s College High School last season.”
Thames has a max bench of 235 pounds and a max squat of 340 pounds. He carries a 2.8 GPA, scored a 1280 on his SAT out of 1600 and scored a 17 on his ACT.
